Google, Microsoft and other companies banned Zoom for employees

From the past week or so, we have seen the controversy which has surfaced all over the internet, yes we are talking about Zoom. The video conferencing app which got popularity swiftly due to the impact of COVID-19, every tech other companies and educational institutes as well used Zoom for video conferencing due to vast limit of adding many people simultaneously.

We have seen that Zoom’s accounts data was leaking due to zero day vulnerabilities and even it was being sold on the dark web. This happens when a company does not even consider security as a major part in building apps that is going to used by masses.

Cyber security experts warned everyone when they found out major loopholes in the app. Elon Musk’s SpaceX also barred their employees from the use of app.
Company admitted that it has used servers in China for routing data when the traffic increased immensely, but now they have said we are not using Chinese servers anymore for customers outside China. This is another vital security risk that everyone got afraid of that maybe China could intercept data of millions of customers especially from US & Europe.
