Google Pixel 4a is finally here!

After a lot if wait and leaks, the Google Pixel 4a has been announced officially with an insane price of just $349. It comes in just a single configuration of 6GB/128GB and no XL version as well.

Display & Internals

Pixel 4a features a 5.81 inches OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It supports HDR and has always-on display. It is the first Google phone, that has a punch hole style display. It has an 8MP f/2.0 selfie sensor.

Google Pixel 4a is powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor, which is an octa core chipset and based on 8nm process. Paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage, without any expansion. It runs stock version of Android 10, and will get 3 years of Security and OS updates.

For security and encryption, Pixel 4a boasts a Titan M security chip. And a rear mounted fingerprint scanner as well. It packs a 3140mAh battery cell with 18W charging over USB-C port, but the size is pretty small in terms of the trend we are seeing in 2020, according to Google, they have optimized it very well, that it will give a full day of battery life.

Unlike 2020 smartphones, the Pixel 4a comes with just a single 12.2MP sensor with f/1.7 lens and has OIS too. But this camera can very easily compete with $1000 flagships in still photos. Pixel’s camera is just all about image processing and not the Mega Pixels count. Unlike its competitor, the iPhone SE, Pixel 4a can also shoot portraits of objects as well.

The still photos captured from this phone does not disappoint, and if Google can optimize video, exactly like still images, then it will be very hard to beat Pixel A series.
