iQOO Z1 announced officially today, iQOO is a subsidiary brand of Vivo, firstly iQOO Neo3 5G was announced with Snapdragon 865, but the iQOO Z1 is announced with the MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ chipset, the competitor of SD 865. It will be interesting to see the performance between both chipsets.
iQOO Z1 has a 6.57 inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 20:9, with refresh rate of 144Hz and supports HDR10 as well. It has a punch-hole on the top right corner of the display, which houses a 16MP f/2.0 sensor for selfies. It has a side mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display scanner, it is most probably for the 144Hz refresh rate.
iQOO Z1 is powered by new Dimensity 1000+, an octa-core chipset, which is based on 7nm process, has a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, and it is a powerhouse. It is paired with 6GB/8GB ram and 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It runs on iQOO UI 1.0 skin, that is based on Android 10.
It packs a 4500mAh battery cell with 44W fast charging, It can charge charge 50% in just 23 minutes. It should last a full day with 144Hz refresh rate.
iQOO Z1 has a triple camera setup on the back, a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide with f/2.2 and 112 degree FOV, last one is a 2MP macro sensor. iQOO Z1 can shoot 4K video at 30fps, but Dimensity 1000+ chipset is probably more capable of higher frame rates. We have to see if iQOO will give users more modes in future through software updates.
iQOO Z1 6/128GB starts at ($310/€280), and 8/128GB will cost ($352/€321) and full speced 8/256GB version will cost ($395/€360).
