OnePlus Nord is officially announced today, but we knew every detail of the phone through different techniques used by the company. It is the second midrange phone by OnePlus after the OnePlus Z. And the Nord 5G will compete directly with iPhone SE 2020, as they are direct competitors.
Display & Internals
OnePlus has put a 6.44 inch 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display, with Full HD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 20:9. The display is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. And for the first time OnePlus has added a dual camera setup on the front of the device. It has a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP ulra-wide sensor with 105 degree FOV. The main 32MP sensor can shoot 4K video up to 60fps.
OnePlus Nord 5G gets torque by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, coupled with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. And according to OnePlus they have optimized the device with animations and performance very well, that it will give the user a flagship experience.
It runs on Android 10 on top of Oxygen OS 10.0, and in my opinion it is the best version of Android yet. It has an optical fingerprint reader under the display, and Nord 5G packs a 4115mAh battery cell with 30W fast charging capability. It can charge 70% battery in just 30 minutes.
The OnePlus Nord is rocking a quad camera setup on the back. It has a 48MP IMX586 sensor, which is also used in OP8. An 8MP ultra-wide sensor with 119 degree FOV plus a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor (for MKBHD). It can shoot 4K video max at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. OnePlus improved the image processing on the device and also added Night-Scape mode as well.
The OnePlus Nord will cost (€400) for 8/128GB and €500) for 12/256GB in Europe. And for UK, it will cost (£380) for 8/128GB and £470 for the 12/256GB variant.
