Last time we posted about the Carl Pei interview that was given to the famous YouTuber MKBHD. Now the OnePlus team has disclosed some more specs of the upcoming device. Shawn L, the head of product has talked about the performance and the display of the upcoming device. He stated that they chose 90Hz refresh rate for the Nord, but it will be more responsive than OnePlus 7T as it has 180Hz of touch sampling rate, whereas OP 7T has 135Hz.
It is the most you can get out of the Snapdragon 765G coupled with 12GB of RAM. And OP has optimized animations for really smooth user experience.
Simon Liu, the imaging director of the OnePlus Nord has spoken about the camera’s specs on the OnePlus Nord. The device will feature Sony’s IMX586 sensor, that has been also used in OnePlus 8. It will have f/1.75 of wide aperture and OIS, plus an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, with a 5MP depth sensor and a macro sensor (for MKBHD).
On the front side, this is the first device that will sport a dual camera setup for selfies. The main camera consists of a 32MP sensor with an ultra-wide sensor that has 105 degree field of view. And the company has improved the image processing for selfies even for low light situation as well. We are not far away from July 21, when this device will be officially announced.
