Oppo announced Ace 2 with crazy specs and 5G connectivity, Oppo announced its predecessor Rena Ace back in October 2019. After just 6 months and a lot of leaks Ace 2 finally announced officially.
Oppo Ace 2 comes with a 6.55″ OLED display with resolution of Full HD+ and refresh rate of 90Hz and double touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Color gamut is 100% DCI-P3 100% RGB. Ace 2 has a punch-hole design which houses a 16MP, f/2.4 aperture, which has a video output of 1080p @ 30fps.
This display brightens upto 500nits and has the toughness of Gorilla Glass 5. Ace 2 also comes with an in-display fingerprint reader, according to Oppo which is 4x faster than previous generations.
SoC & Memory
Oppo’s Ace 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chip and paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x and 12GB of new LPDDR5 version along with 128 & 256GB of UFS3.0 storage. It also has HyperBoost 3.0 acceleration write speed technology as well.
Oppo Ace 2 runs on ColorOS 7.1 which is based on Android 10.
It has a rounded shaped quad camera setup on the back, Primary camera is a 48MP IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 which supports upto 10x of digital zoom unfortunately, Ultra-wide sensor has resolution of 8MP with f/2.2 and it also has capability of macro shooting with objects close to 3cm.
The rest two sensors are of 2MP resolution which helps to give natural like Bokeh. It is capable to shoot video upto 4k 60fps.
Ace 2 has 4000mAh of battery capacity and we know we are talking about Oppo so it means it has some ridiculous charging tech. Phone comes with 65W SuperVOOC wired charging and the new 40W AirVOOC wireless charging which translates a full charge in 56 minutes only as Oppo has advertised. AirVOOC will sold separately for ($35). It also supports reverse wireless charging with the output of 10W.
