Yesterday, Apple held an event for the iPad and the new Watch series 6. It was rumored that Apple might launch the much awaited iPhone 12 series as well. But, it was denied by the legendary Apple leakster Jon Prosser from the Front Page Tech.
Apple has announced the new version of the iPad Air. It features a new design, which has no home button like before, but now it has a touch ID in the power button. It features a 10.9 inches liquid retina IPS display, with resolution of 1640 x 2360px. Has wide color gamut and true-tone feature as well.
The new iPad Air is powered by the latest Apple’s A14 bionic chipset, which has a hexa-core CPU and quad-core GPU. And the A14 is the first chip in the industry that has been built on 5nm process. According to Apple, it is has 40% improved CPU performance and 30% improved GPU performance over the previous iPad Air. It will boot iPadOS 14, and has support for Apple pencil and the keyboard accessory.
On the front, it has a 7MP selfie camera with 1080p 60fps video, and on the back, it has a 12MP camera with f/1.8 aperture. And the new ISP on the A14 will help to render more great quality images than ever.
The new iPad Air will be available next month, starting at ($599) (Wi-Fi) or ($729) (Wi-Fi + Cellular) with 64GB of storage. It will also be offered with 256GB storage at ($749/$879).
